It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and bold easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This key date coin has been in strong demand among collectors and is by far our best seller. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example.
