1909 S VDB 1c Lincoln Wheat Cent NGC VF 35 Very Fine to Extra Fine Key Date

A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded VF 35 by NGC. It carries the perfect amount of detail for the grade with chocolate brown original surfaces. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and very bold V.D.B on the reverse. This appealing coin has been housed in a newer style NGC prong holder. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. It is one of just '1,937' graded to be in Very Fine condition by NGC.
