An attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded VF 30 by NGC that has been approved by CAC for quality. It carries strong detail for the grade with choice original surfaces. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and bold V.D.B on the reverse. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. It is one of only 526 graded Very Fine 30 by NGC. It is also one of only 58 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
