1909 S VDB 1c Lincoln Wheat Cent NGC VF 30 Very Fine to Extra Fine Key Date

A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VF 30 by NGC. It carries a good strong strike throughout both sides with a light brown patina. It holds a strong date, clear S mint-mark, and bold VDB on the reverse. It has been housed in a newer style NGC holder. This key date coin has been in very strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 1,931 graded to be in 'Very Fine' condition by NGC.
