An attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 58 by NGC. It carries a very sharp strike throughout both sides with appealing chocolate brown original surfaces. It holds a strong date, clear S mint-mark, and bold VDB on the reverse. It has been housed in a newer style NGC prong style holder. This key date coin has been in strong demand among collectors. 

The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 524 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC.
