1909 S VDB 1C Lincoln Wheat Cent PCGS XF 45 Extra Fine to AU CAC Approved Key Date !

A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded XF 45 by PCGS. It carries excellent details for the grade with completely original and attractive dark chocolate brown original surfaces. It holds a strong date, a very clear S Mint-mark, and a sharply defined 'VDB' on the reverse. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. It has been approved by CAC for quality and has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. This coin is one of only 1,243 graded Extra Fine 45 by PCGS. It is also one of only 62 approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
