A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded VG 8 by PCGS and is accompanied by a CAC sticker. It holds a very strong date, clear S mint mark and bold easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This key date coin has been in strong demand among collectors and is by far our best seller. It is very tough to find this key date coin in less than fine condition such as this one. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. It is one of only 222 graded Very Good 8 by PCGS. It is also one of only 11 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
