An attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VF 25 by PCGS It carries very strong details for the grade with original toned surfaces. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and readable V.D.B on the reverse. It holds a very nice look overall with great wheat stalks on the reverse. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. This key date has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. This coin is one of only 991 graded Very Fine 25 by PCGS.
