A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded VF 20 by PCGS that has been approved by CAC for quality. It carries strong detail for the grade and would certainly grade higher today in our recommendation. A very neat key date coin to find housed in one of these old time PCGS Green Label Holders. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and an easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. It is one of only 1,058 graded Very Fine 20 by PCGS. It is also one of only 47 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
