A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VF 20 by PCGS. It carries strong details for the grade with perfect chocolate brown original surfaces. It holds a very clear S Mint-mark with a sharply defined 'VDB' on the reverse. It has been approved by CAC for quality. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 1,011 graded Very Fine 20 by PCGS. It is also one of only 41 approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
