A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded F 15 by PCGS. It carries very strong details for the grade with very attractive light chocolate brown original surfaces. It has really nice original surfaces with strong detail for the grade. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and bold V.D.B on the reverse. This appealing coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder and has been approved by CAC for quality.
The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. Of this number this coin is one of only 1,065 graded Fine 15 by PCGS. It is also one of only 42 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
