What makes this coin unique is the 'woodgrain' style of toning it has throughout both sides. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This key date coin has been in strong demand among collectors and is by far our best seller. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. It is one of only 1,079 graded Fine 15 by PCGS.
