An original 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded F 12 by PCGS. It has decent detail for the grade with an appealing chocolate brown patina. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and an easily readable VDB on the reverse. Please note, the scratch you see on the obverse is on the holder and is not on the coin. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000.
