1909 S VDB 1C Lincoln Wheat Cent PCGS AU 50 About Uncirculated CAC Approved Key Date

A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 50 by PCGS. It carries very strong details for the grade with perfect dark chocolate brown original surfaces. This coin looks nicer than the deemed grade from PCGS. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. It has been approved by CAC for quality and has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. Of this number this coin is one of only 573 graded About Uncirculated 50 by PCGS. It is also one of only 15 approved by CAC in this grade level.
