A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VF 30 by ANACS. It carries very strong details for the grade with original toned surfaces. This coin looks nicer than the deemed grade from ANACS. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and readable V.D.B on the reverse. It has been noted to also be a 'Mint Error' as it has some minor lamination on the obverse that can be seen in the obverse photos provided. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand.
The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example.
