A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent in mint state (Uncirculated) brown condition. We believe this coin to be a nice mid-grade mint state example. However, it does have a scratch going across the obverse that you can see in the close-up obverse photo provided. A very attractive key date coin with very nice chocolate brown original surfaces.
The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000 and is known to be the true key to the entire Lincoln wheat cent series. From the expert collector to the novice, most know of this very desirable and sought after key date coin.
