A beautiful 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded MS 63 BN by ANACS. It carries an exceptional strike with perfect chocolate brown original surfaces. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and a bold easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This appealing coin has been housed in a older style 1980's holder. We believe it could likely grade a touch higher according to todays' grading standards. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000.
