A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln Wheat Cent graded VF 30 by ANACS. It carries excellent detail for the grade with very unique 'wood grain' toned surfaces among both sides. It holds a very strong date, clear S Mint-mark and an easily readable V.D.B on the reverse. This appealing coin has been housed in a a newer style ANACS holder. This key date has been by far our best seller and has continued to be in strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Wheat Cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example.
