A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded EF 40 by ANACS. It carries a good strike throughout both sides with the perfect amount of detail for the grade and an appealing chocolate brown patina. It holds nice full wheat stalks throughout the reverse. This coin also has a strong date, clear S mint-mark, and bold VDB on the reverse. It has been housed in an old time Small Size 1980's ANASCS holder. This key date coin has been our best seller and has been in very strong demand among collectors. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today.
