1909 S VDB 1C Lincoln Wheat Cent ICG AU 58 About Uncirculated Key Date Nice !

An attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 58 by ICG. It carries a very sharp strike throughout both sides with an appealing dark chocolate brown original surface. This coin has well earned its' grade in our recommendation and in our opinion could have ended up in a mint state holder. It holds a strong date, clear S mint-mark, and bold VDB on the reverse. Please note the VDB only looks slightly weak in the photos because of how the holder is designed there was some plastic over it. However, it is extremely strong and easy to read. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today.
