It holds a strong date, clear S mint-mark, and readable VDB on the reverse. This key date coin has been in very strong demand among collectors. It has been by far our best seller. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today.
