An attractive 1909 S key date Indian head cent graded MS 63 RB by PCGS. It carries an excellent strike throughout both sides very attractive red and brown original surfaces. A very beautiful coin for the grade that is tougher to find in this grade level. This key date coin carries a low mintage of only 309,000. However, the PCGS population report shows that only 3,000 of these have survived in all grades today. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that of this mintage only 1,200 have survived today to be in red brown condition such as this one. This coin is one of only 272 graded Mint State 63 Red Brown by PCGS.
