This coin holds an exceptional quality strike with mostly white surfaces with just a hint of toning most evident around the rims of each side. It has been housed in a newer style NGC holder. This better date New Orleans Mint coin has been on of the most in demand dates of the entire Morgan dollar series. It has a total mintage of 4,450,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 445,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of 1,471 graded Mint State 65 by NGC. It is also one of just 300 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
