1893 O $1 Morgan Dollar PCGS AU 55 About Uncirculated to Mint State Tough Cert#2703

A very sharply struck 1893 O better date silver Morgan dollar graded AU 55 by PCGS. It holds a sharp strike with blast white and lustrous original surfaces with the exception of some light toning around the rims of each side. This New Orleans Mint date has been hard to carry lately as it has been in very strong demand among collectors. We would say this has been one of the most in demand dates of the entire Morgan Dollar series! It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. Although the slabbed shot make this coin look toned, it is actually white as shown in the close-up photos provided. This date holds a low mintage of only 300,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 29,960 have survived in all grades. It is one of only 511 graded About Uncirculated 55 by PCGS.
