1891 CC $1 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS 62 Uncirculated Carson City Mint Original Cert#8297

An 1891 CC silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by PCGS. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with original darkly toned surfaces. This coin is the 'Spitting Eagle' variety but this variety has not been designated on the PCGS holder. This Carson City Mint date holds a mintage of 1,618,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 162,000 have survived in all grades. They also estimate that only 80,000 have survived to be in MS 60 or better condition such as this one. This coin is one of only 3,752 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
