A tough 1889 CC key date Morgan dollar graded F 15 by ANACS. It holds excellent detail for the grade and looks like it could have ended up in a very fine graded holder. It has perfect crusty original toned surfaces that match very evenly among both sides. This key date Carson City mint coin has been one of our best sellers and has been much harder to find in this grade range lately than in previous years. We believe a lot of these have been scooped off the market by new collectors entering the coin market. It has been housed in an old 1980's small size ANACS holder. This Carson City coin has a total mintage of only 350,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 25,250 have survived in all grades today.
