A very attractive 1887/6 key date proof three cent nickel piece graded PF 65 by NGC. This coin carries an excellent proof strike with some light attractive original toning on her head on the obverse. It is very flashy and attractive for the grade and carries a very pronounced over-date as shown in the photos provided. This coin is stored in an older style NGC holder.
This key date coin holds a very low proof mintage of only 2,960. As the over-date, this variety is only minted as a proof strike.
