1886 3CN Three Cent Nickel PCGS PR 64 Proof Key Date Low Mintage Proof Only Issue

An 1886 key date proof three cent nickel piece graded PF 64 by PCGS. This key date coin was only minted as a proof and is seldom offered in a somewhat 'affordable' grade level such as this one. It carries a light blue hue toned throughout both sides and some darker toned spots on the reverse. This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 4,290. However, of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,500 have survived today. This coin is one of only 390 graded Proof 64 by PCGS.
