An attractive 1885 S better date silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by PCGS. It holds a strong strike with a very light hue of yellow toning among the obverse. However, the close-up photos provided make the toning look more pronounced than the coin looks in hand.
This San Francisco Mint date holds a total mintage of 1,497,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 150,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 2,294 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
