1885 O $1 Morgan Dollar NGC MS 64 Uncirculated Darker Toned CAC Approved Cert#3173

An original toned 1885 O silver Morgan dollar graded MS 64 by NGC. It carries some darker toning throughout the obverse with a touch of toning around the rims of the reverse that lightens up as the toning moves inward. This coin has been approved by CAC for quality. This New Orleans Mint date is among one of the most common dates to the entire series with a huge mintage of 9,185,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 925,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of 99,185 graded Mint State 64 by NGC. It is also one of only 679 approved by CAC for quality.
