A beautiful 1885 proof three cent nickel graded PR 66 by PCGS. It carries an exceptional proof quality strike with beautiful lightly toned surfaces throughout both sides. A date that is much more affordable in proof than business strike. This appealing example has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This date holds a low proof mintage of only 3,790. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,250 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 183 graded Proof 66 by PCGS.
