With a mintage of only 6,609 this 1883 proof three cent nickel is hard to find in any condition. Originally, we purchased this coin because we believed it was a business strike because of the die crack on the reverse at about 9 o' clock. However, PCGS determined that this coin is a proof. Overall, a great coin for the grade.
