An absolutely gorgeous 1881 CC silver Morgan dollar graded MS 65 by PCGS. It holds a great strike throughout both sides with very just a hint of toning around the rims. A popular Carson City Mint date among collectors that is much scarcer than the 1882, 1883, and 1884.
This Carson City Mint date holds a mintage of 296,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 180,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 5,082 graded Mint State 65 by PCGS.
