An 1881 key date proof shield nickel graded PR-65 by PCGS. This low mintage proof coin carries what looks like a light cameo throughout the obverse. It carries very mark free surfaces for the grade with a light hue of golden toning throughout both sides. A neat coin to find stored in an old time PCGS Green Label Holder such as this one. This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 3,575. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,400 have survived today. This coin is one of only 306 graded PR 65 by PCGS.
