1879 S Reverse of 1878 $1 Morgan Dollar NGC MS 63 Uncirculated Original Toned

A beautiful 1879 S Reverse of 1878, silver Morgan dollar graded MS 63 by NGC. It carries a strong strike throughout both sides with very attractive crusty original toned surfaces. A very appealing coin for the grade that has been well earned. This variety has been extremely popular lately and harder to come by in this grade or higher. This San Francisco Mint date in general is extremely common with a huge mintage of 9,110,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates only 8,900 have survived today that are this 1879 S Reverse of 1878 variety. This coin is one of only 512 graded Mint State 63 by NGC.
