1879 S Reverse of 1878 $1 Morgan Dollar NGC MS 62 Uncirculated REV OF 78 Lustrous

A beautiful 1879 S Reverse of 1878, silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by NGC. It carries a strong strike throughout both sides with very lustrous and bright white surfaces. This variety has been among one of the most popular among collectors lately. This is one of only a few we have ever offered in Mint State condition. A very attractive coin for the grade with extremely lustrous surfaces for only a Mint State 62 grade. This San Francisco Mint date holds a high mintage of 9,110,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 8,900 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 552 graded Mint State 62 by NGC.
