1879 O $1 Morgan Dollar NGC MS 62 Uncirculated Better Date Exceptional Strike Cert#1006

A very attractive 1879 O better date silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by NGC. It holds an exceptional strike throughout both sides with some very light original toning throughout the obverse and reverse. A very attractive coin that we believe it could have graded a point higher. This New Orleans Mint date holds a high mintage of 2,887,000. However, of this large mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 398,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 2,130 graded Mint State 62 by NGC.
