A very sharp 1879 CC (Capped CC) Morgan dollar graded AU 50 by NGC. It holds the perfect amount of detail for the grade with choice original toned surfaces. A tough Carson City Mint date to find in this pleasing mid-grade. It is one of the only ones we have offered in this grade in a very long time having been certified by NGC in this grade. It has been housed in an older style NGC holder. This Carson City Mint date has total mintage of 756,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,770 of these have survived in all grades. It is one of just 70 graded About Uncirculated 50 by NGC.
