A very sharp 1879 CC (Capped CC) Morgan dollar graded AU 50 by ANACS. It holds superior detail for the grade with a very light hint of toning around the rims of each side. A tough Carson City Mint date to find in this pleasing mid-grade. It is one of the only ones we have offered in this grade in a very long time. This Carson City Mint date has total mintage of 756,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,770 of these have survived in all grades.
