A tough 1878 key date Three Cent Nickel Piece graded PR 65 by PCGS. it holds an exceptional proof quality strike with some light toning between both sides. It also has a very light cameo look throughout both the obverse and reverse. These have been tough for us to come by lately and is the only one we have offered recently.
This key date coin holds a tiny mintage of only 2,350. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,800 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 245 graded PR 65 by PCGS.
