1877 1c Indian Head Cent NGC XF 40 BN Extra Fine Key Date Low Mintage Sharp !

A very attractive 1877 key date Indian head cent graded XF 40 by NGC. This key date coin carries a fully readable liberty on the obverse with great details on the reverse. It holds a decent strike throughout both sides with attractive chocolate brown original surfaces. A tougher key date to find in this Extra Fine grade level from NGC. It is definitely a superior coin for the grade. The 1877 key date Indian head cent carries a mintage of 852,500. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 of these have survived in all grade! At the time of this listing, NGC is showing that they have only certified 160 of these to be in XF 40 condition such as this example.
