It is entirely original and is what we would call the 'Poster Child' for an extra fine graded 1877 Indian head cent. A very tough coin for us to hold lately as it has been in strong demand among collectors. The 1877 key date Indian head cent carries a mintage of 852,500. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 of these have survived in all grade! A tougher key date coin to find in this grade level, especially being so nice and original for the grade.
