1876 S T$1 Trade Dollar PCGS AU 55 About Uncirculated to Mint State Light Purple Toned

An attractive 1876 S common date trade dollar graded AU 55 by PCGS. It has a sharp strike throughout the majority of both sides with the exception of around Mrs. Liberty's head on the obverse. It holds a light hue of purple toning throughout the majority of the obverse and reverse. This San Francisco Mint date holds a huge mintage of 5,227,000. Of this high mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that a tiny fraction of only 3,500 have survived today. This coin is one of only 99 graded About Uncirculated 55 by PCGS.
