A very attractive 1876 better date shield nickel graded AU 58 by ANACS. It has a better than average strike with a very light hue of toning among both sides. A tougher date to find in this AU 58 grade level. We have only ever offered a few of these in this grade level.
This coin holds a high mintage of 2,530,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 4,000 have survived in all grades today.
