A beautiful and unique 1876 proof twenty cent piece graded PR 64 by PCGS. It holds an exceptional proof quality strike with a darker appearance when looking straight onto the coin. However, when you tilt this coin in the light you can see the colorful attractive toning as shown in the close-up photos provided. The mark in front of her face on the obverse is likely due to the coin being struck with some type of string or something on the dies. The mark you see was mint-made and did not happen afterwards. A tough proof issue coin to find that has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This proof issue date holds a tiny mintage of only 1,260. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 700 have survived in all grades. It is one of just 87 graded Proof 64 by PCGS.
