A gorgeous 1876 better date Indian head cent graded MS 65 RD by PCGS. This coin holds a fantastic strike and is fully red throughout both sides. It is the highest graded example we have ever offered for this date. It is very uncommon to find this particular coin in this high of grade designated as a red such as this example. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This Philadelphia Mint date holds a huge mintage of 7,944,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 225 have survived with red surfaces such as this one. This coin is one of only 42 graded Mint State 65 Red by PCGS. There are currently only 21 coins graded finer designated as red by PCGS.
