A very attractive 1873 S better date seated liberty half dollar graded XF 45 by PCGS. It holds an exceptional strike throughout both sides with a good deal of luster remaining. We believe this coin could have easily ended up in an about uncirculated graded holder. It is one of the sharpest 1873 S seated liberty half dollars we have ever offered. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This San Francisco Mint date has a total mintage of only 228,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 350 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 25 graded Extra Fine 45 by PCGS.
