1873 3C Three Cent Silver Piece NGC PF 65 Proof CAC Approved Toned Old Holder PR

A very attractive 1873 Closed 3, proof three cent silver piece graded PF 65 by NGC that has been approved by CAC for quality. This beautiful proof only issue coin is very mark free for the grade level and has some appealing light blue and green toning when being tilted in the light. Unfortunately, the toning was hard to capture in the lighting. This appealing coin has been housed in an old time NGC holder and has been tougher to find in this grade. This proof only key date coni has a tiny mintage of only 600. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 575 have survived in all grades. It is one of only 63 graded Proof 65 by NGC. It is also one of only 22 approved by CAC for quality in this grade.
