A beautiful 1873 Closed 3, Indian head cent graded MS 66 RB by NGC. This coin is tied for a top pop by NGC with none graded higher designated as a red brown! It carries a superior quality strike with a great deal of red showing throughout both sides. This beautiful example has been approved by CAC for quality. This Philadelphia Mint coni holds a huge mintage of 11,676,500. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 260 of these have survived today to be in red brown condition. This coin is one of only six graded Mint State 66 Red Brown by NGC. It is also one of only a total of four having been approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
