A beautiful 1872 key date Two Cent Piece graded AU 55 BN by NGC. It carries excellent detail for the grade level with a strong strike and appealing chocolate brown original surfaces. A very tough key date coin to find in this grade level, especially having earned the green sticker of approval from CAC such as this one. This key date coin holds a small mintage of only 65,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 11 graded About Uncirculated 55 by NGC. It is also one of only nine approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
